As a Realtor with 30+ years of experience helping clients purchase properties in Ottawa, I regularly receive referrals from relocation agencies who assist employees coming to the National Capital area. Assisting new commers (or those returning to the city) is my specialty as I am well versed on the needs of a variety of professions.

Many sectors in our city, including health care, high-tech, Global Affairs, R.C.M.P, National Defense and our universities and colleges, regularly hire employees from abroad. These new workers need to find a home, often in within a short time frame.

As Ottawa continues to grow and its economy diversifies, I find myself working with buyers from around the globe.  While a number of people do come from other parts of North America, those who come from abroad often, are not familiar with our real estate systems and this is when my years of experience certainly are advantageous.

Conversely, when I am marketing a home for a Seller it is also important to ensure that my listed properties have exposure internationally. With the assistance of my full-time marketing team we network with numerous contacts and agencies abroad who have businesses in Ottawa.  In addition we keep in close contact with head hunting agencies, foreign service workers, human resource personnel who are looking to expand their business here in the city and or have chosen Ottawa to invest in Real Estate.

Since 2016, we have been a part of the RE/MAX HALLMARK Realty Group. It’s been exciting to tell my clients that when they list with us, their home will be seen not just by potential buyers here in Ottawa or across Canada, but around the world.

RE/MAX is a global network of Real Estate offices, with more than 120,000 agents in more than 100 countries and territories. The international RE/MAX website www.remax.com, brings together listings from more than 134 countries, in 41 languages.

Because RE/MAX agents can search and post listings internationally, my staff and I aren’t surprised these days when we receive inquiries from the U.S., the U.K, Europe or Asia about a property one of my clients is selling.

In addition to the RE/MAX network, I’ve also developed a long list of clients over more than 30 years who turn to me again for assistance when they want a new home or refer a friend from abroad who are moving to our region.

I have also developed an extensive network of contacts through my other passion, as a successful equestrian showjumper in tournaments in Canada and the U.S. Many of these sporting events also have competitors from Europe, South America, Mexico & Ireland and I often find myself discussing business and the great opportunities our real estate market has to offer.   I also meet many fellow Realtors  and other professionals through my events who often get in touch with me when they know someone who is looking for property in our region, whether it’s a condo apartment for a child attending university, a new suburban home or an investment property.

If you’re considering selling or buying property in the Ottawa area, I’d be happy to tell you more about our marketing reach, the current Ottawa resale market and how my expertise will surely make the process of buying of selling here in Ottawa a truly professional experience.

I have spent much of my career with a focus on our city’s development from the rural areas to the  established central neighbourhoods, including Island Park, Westboro, Rockcliffe, New Edinburgh, the Glebe, Sandy Hill, Centretown and Ottawa South, but I have helped clients across the region, so I know our city well.
